Executive Director
Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum (MKIM), founded 1990, seeks creative, dynamic executive director w/successful record in leadership to head museum w/exceptional collection of Native American art and artifacts. Located in Warner, NH, an attractive New England village in central NH, MKIM offers exhibits, programming, nature trail & Indian garden, and a dedicated board of trustees.
The executive director will be a leader with vision; passion for Native American culture and history; strong background in museum management; proven track record in development; excellent public relations skills; and appropriate technological literacy. BA/BS degree from a nationally accredited institution required; major study in Native American studies, museum studies, anthropology, history, art or business preferred. Museum Educators for the Fall Season
Teach school children about the wonders of Native cultures. The ideal candidate will have excellent public speaking skills, experience working with children, and be a flexible team member. Training on the docent-guided school tour will be supported through a written script, opportunities to "shadow" tours by experienced guides, and access to the MKIM Library. Must be able to stand while delivering the approximately 75 minute tour. MKIM is an equal opportunity employer.
