Renovated Women's Room

Six stalls, including a fully wheelchair-accessible stall and an ADA ambulatory stall with grab bars — up from two stalls today.

Renovated Men's Room

Two stalls — wheelchair-accessible and ambulatory — plus three urinals. Fully updated fixtures and finishes throughout.

New Family & All-Genders Room

A generously sized, fully ADA-compliant space with a baby-changing table, welcoming parents, caregivers, non-binary visitors, and anyone who needs a little more room.

When the bus pulled up, the welcome fell short. Not anymore.

Every year, more than 8,000 visitors walk through our doors — schoolchildren on field trips, seniors on bus tours, families from across New England. For decades, they were greeted by restrooms built in 1990 that could handle only two people at a time and no longer met ADA accessibility standards. Long lines stretched into the hallway. Children fidgeted. Elders waited uncomfortably. The first impression fell short of everything else the Museum offers. This spring, we fixed it. Working from architectural plans and with the support of donors like you, we gutted and rebuilt both restrooms and added a brand-new family restroom.

Every gift moves us one fixture closer.

No gift is too small — and every contribution is a vote for the kind of welcome our visitors deserve. Choose a giving level, or make a gift of any amount.
