Join instructor Andy Bullock for a hands-on introduction to the versatile and traditional technique of the Lazy Stitch. The term is a bit of a misnomer. There isn’t anything “lazy” about it. This technique is ideal for covering large areas of leather with beadsrelatively quickly. Once you understand the basic stitch, you can create stunning, intricate patterns on everything from regalia to contemporary accessories.
This creative session will be process-focused. Andy is a seasoned craftsperson, with many years of experience. Using genuine braintanned deerskin, students will design and create a bracelet. Students will also have the option of learning how to apply edge beading, as illustrated in the photograph.
Basic craft skills are helpful, but no prior beading experience is required—just your patience and curiosity! (And maybe a good pair of reading glasses.)
