Peyote Stitch Bead Workshop - July 25

from $25.00

Join instructor Scott Devoid for a hands-on introduction to the beautiful and historic art of the Peyote stitch. Also known as the gourd stitch, this traditional off-loom bead weaving technique has been used for generations across many tribal nations to create stunning, intricate patterns on everything from regalia to contemporary accessories.

In this creative session, Scott will guide you through the foundational steps of this versatile stitch as you create your own beaded piece. Basic craft skills are helpful, but no prior beading experience is required—just your patience and curiosity! (And maybe a good pair of reading glasses.)

All materials are included with the workshop. Please bring your own lunch as food is not provided. Space is limited, so don’t miss the chance to learn this timeless art form in a supportive, community setting.

  • Date: Saturday, July 25, 2026

  • Time: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

  • Location: Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum, 18 Highlawn Road, Warner, NH

  • Cost: $30 for non-members / $25 for members
